Easy and Clear make information for everyone.

We have 25 years of inclusive information experience, converting documents into easy read for people with learning disabilities and autistic people.

We also design for wider audiences, including people with cognitive impairments, learning difficulties and neurodivergence.

 

Introducing Kate Grant – Director and Accessible Information Consultant

My name is Kate and I am lead consultant at Easy and Clear designing and producing easy information across the charity, disability, government and public sectors.

As former publications and editorial manager at the Disability Rights Commission, I have extensive experience of writing, designing and producing accessible information in a range of formats.

I advised the European Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education on their easy read and easier to read outputs and completed a successful Global Disability Summit project with the Departmentfor International Development (DFID) and International Disability Alliance. In June 2025, I designed easy read information to support disabled people attending the United Nations COSP18 conference in New York.

I was lead consultant on a sexual health project working with women and families across West Africa to improve access to health advice and information. In 2024, I produced a series of easy read training materials for Sightsavers UK.  I am also an experienced UX writer and senior content designer with experience in user-centred product design.

I am passionate about access and believe that everyone has a right to easy and clear information.

I also work with other freelance experts in easy read words and pictures including Clare Tarling.
